At this event, we present the preliminary results of an urban design study as part of the Sustainability, Entrepreneurship and Global Digital Transformation (SET) research project. The study investigates the sustainable spatial transformation of the Innovation and Training Park (ITP) Prizren to become a hub for innovation and economic development in the region.

The study is based on a stakeholder involvement workshop held in June this year, where participants from civil society, academia, public administration and the private sector came together and discussed their visions for the ITP’s transformation. These initial ideas were developed further by the planning office Octagon Architekturkollektiv and integrated in a spatial strategy plan, focusing on long term solutions as well as short term interventions.

The aim of this event is to involve a broader public from the city of Prizren and to collect feedback and different viewpoints on the preliminary results. The feedback will be reflected in the final study and provide scientific guidance for the development of ITP’s strategy and urban design plan.

The Event will be held in English with an Albanian simultaneous translation.

About the project

Funded by the Gesellschaft für internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) on behalf of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), the Sustainability, Entrepreneurship and Global Digital Transformation (SET) research project has the goal of addressing issues relating to digitalisation, particularly in the Global South. With a focus on the topics of entrepreneurship, platform regulation, and the use of digitalisation for climate resiliency, the project is partnering with the digital transformation centers worldwide and collaborates closely with local stakeholders to build application-oriented expertise and to create an international knowledge community.
