Get Balkanised Internship Programme – Annual Opportunities for Students in the Western Balkans
The Get Balkanised Internship Programme, coordinated by the University of Applied Sciences Bonn-Rhein-Sieg (H-BRS) in Germany, continues to create exciting opportunities for young professionals across the Western Balkans. In cooperation with regional partners such as the Innovation and Training Park (ITP) Prizren and others, the programme builds a vital bridge between academic learning and practical experience.
Since its launch in 2019, the programme has been held annually, offering students from H-BRS and partner universities the opportunity to complete internships in Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Serbia, and Germany. Thanks to renewed ERASMUS+ funding, the initiative will continue through 2026 and 2027, further expanding mobility and exchange across the region.

Practical Experience and Professional Growth
The 2026 edition will once again be open to students from all faculties of H-BRS, including Social Policy and Social Protection Studies, Management Sciences, Natural Sciences, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Technical Journalism. Around 20 internship grants are offered each year, each providing a €700 monthly stipend plus a €275 travel allowance.
Internships last between two and five months, typically taking place between March and September, and offer students the opportunity to apply their academic knowledge, gain international work experience, and enhance their intercultural and professional skills. Participants also take part in intercultural preparation courses organized by H-BRS before departure, ensuring they are well-prepared for their placements.
