DIG-4K Privacy Notice
The Digital Innovation Gateway for Kosovo (DIG-4K) is an initiative aimed at accelerating Kosovo’s digital transformation and positioning the country as a regional hub for digital innovation, skills development, and entrepreneurship. Led by the Innovation and Training Park (ITP) Prizren and co-funded by the European Union and the Government of Kosovo, DIG-4K is the first European Digital Innovation Hub (EDIH) in Kosovo, recognized under the EU Digital Europe Programme.
DIG-4K is designed to build digital capacity across sectors by providing essential support mainly to MSMEs and public sector organizations.
Through a series of targeted work packages and activities, DIG-4K promotes the adoption of advanced digital technologies, particularly in e-commerce, fintech, healthcare, education, and agriculture – while also supporting entrepreneurship and innovation-driven services.
The purpose of this notice is to inform you how your personal data will be processed and stored through your involvement with DIG-4K. The DIG-4K project is committed to user privacy and the protection of personal data. Any personal data you provide will be processed in compliance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR – Regulation EU 2016/679) and Kosovo’s Law No. 06/L-082 on the Protection of Personal Data. By agreeing to submit your information to DIG-4K, we will process your data according to the purposes and requirements outlined in this notice.

Purposes and Legal Basis for Processing Personal Data
To deliver the services of the DIG-4K project, we may collect and process the following categories of personal data:
- Identity data: first and last name, ID/passport number, gender.
- Contact information: work address, email address, telephone number.
- Business registration data: Business Registration Number (NRB/NUI) and related details.
- Employment data: employment contracts or employee declaration lists submitted to ATK.
- Financial data: business turnover declarations or financial statements.
- Photographs and video recordings: taken during events, trainings, or service delivery.
- Other data: collected via surveys, interviews, or online forms for monitoring and evaluation.
If we request additional personal data not mentioned above, we will explain:
- what data we need,
- why it is needed,
- whether it is mandatory or optional,
- the consequences of not providing it.
Your personal data will be processed to:
- deliver the DIG-4K services you subscribe to,
- inform you about DIG-4K findings and results via newsletters or emails,
- create promotional material/content,
- engage you in consultations, surveys, interviews, and events,
- respond to your queries.
The legal basis for processing your personal data under DIG-4K includes:
- Consent – you voluntarily provide your personal data.
- Legitimate interest – to ensure effective communication and service delivery.
- Performance of a contract – when necessary to deliver DIG-4K services.
- Legal obligation – to meet reporting or auditing requirements.
Data Recipients and Access
Your personal data may be accessed and processed by:
- DIG-4K project staff (researchers, administrative teams, trainers),
- partner organizations directly involved in service provision,
- project evaluators, auditors, and funding bodies (in anonymized or pseudonymized formats where possible).
All personnel with access to your data are required to maintain strict confidentiality and access controls will be applied.
Data Retention Period
Your personal data will be retained only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes stated in this notice and to comply with legal and reporting obligations. This may include archiving for up to five (5) years after the project ends (expected end date: 31.12.2028), unless a longer retention is legally required or justified.
Individual Rights
Under GDPR and Kosovo’s data protection law, you have the right to:
- access your personal data,
- request correction,
- request erasure (“right to be forgotten”),
- request restriction of processing,
- object to processing,
- request data portability,
- withdraw consent at any time,
- lodge a complaint with the Information and Privacy Agency in Kosovo.
Changes to This Privacy Notice
We may revise this privacy notice when needed. If significant changes are made, we will notify affected individuals through the appropriate communication channels.

In order to receive DIG-4K services, you are kindly asked to confirm your consent to the collection, processing, and use of your personal data in accordance with this Privacy Notice.
